Option and Metafield mapping: map metafield and metaobject values too

The mapping source now reads metafields and metaobjects too: see every value in your shop and type what each channel should get.

Option and Metafield mapping: map metafield and metaobject values too

Many shops keep colors, materials or sizes in metafields or metaobjects, not in variant options. Until now the value mapping could only read variant options.

Under "Sources" you can now add single line text and metaobject reference metafields, including lists, next to options. Feedyio lists every value they have in your shop with the number of products, and you type the value the channel should get. For a metaobject you choose which of its fields is matched, and a list is mapped item by item.

The source is now called "Option and Metafield mapping", and "Variant Option" is called "Option" again. Existing mappings keep working.

What's included

  • In a field's case, set "Source" to "Option and Metafield mapping" and add options or metafields under "Sources" (up to 10 in total). The first non-empty value is used.
  • Metafields of the types single line text and metaobject reference are offered, each also as a list.
  • For a metaobject reference, "Metaobject field for …" sets which field of the metaobject is matched. It is preselected with the metaobject's display name field.
  • A list metafield is mapped item by item. The mapped items are sent joined with a comma, without duplicates.
  • Values longer than 200 characters or pointing to a metaobject that is not synchronized are skipped and counted. A warning shows when a source looks like free text.
  • The sources are renamed: "Variant Option" is now "Option" and "Variant Option mapping" is now "Option and Metafield mapping".
