OpenAI (ChatGPT): columns follow the OpenAI product spec

The OpenAI (ChatGPT) feed now writes the field names from the OpenAI product spec instead of Google Shopping names: item_id, url, image_url, additional_image_urls, group_id and product_category.

Variants are described the way OpenAI expects: listing_has_variations says whether a product has variants and variant_dict lists the options of each variant. The feed also sends seller_url, and new additional fields cover the store country, return policy, return deadline, shipping price and digital products.

If you already registered the feed with OpenAI, open the feed preview and check the new column names.

What's included

  • Renamed columns: id → item_id, link → url, image_link → image_url, additional_image_link → additional_image_urls, item_group_id → group_id, google_product_category → product_category.
  • New columns: seller_url (the domain from the feed's Domain setting, otherwise your myshopify.com address), listing_has_variations, and variant_dict with the variant's options as a JSON object, for example {"Size":"M","Color":"Black"}.
  • gtin is sent only when the barcode has 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits; other barcodes leave it empty.
  • identifier_exists, product_type and target_countries are no longer sent by default. "Target countries" stays available as an additional field.
  • New additional fields: "Store country", "Seller URL", "Return policy URL", "Accepts returns", "Return deadline in days", "Shipping price" and "Digital product (no physical shipment)".
  • Additional images no longer repeat the main image. New OpenAI feeds show prices with trailing zeros, for example 79.90 USD.
